COPS Walk Midwest 2018

Dear Friends of C.O.P.S.,

Thank you for registering for COPS Walk Midwest 2018!  We are so glad that you decided to come walk with us.  Whether you have walked before, or if this is your first walk, we cannot wait to see you!  All proceeds from COPS Walk Midwest help Concerns of Police Survivors continue to provide the healing programs for thousands of law enforcement survivors throughout the United States.  We hope you will find the weekend to be an extremely rewarding experience.

Below is some important information for this year’s COPS Walk with tips for your fundraising efforts, athletic training, etc.

Please take a moment to review the forms that are linked below.

The Liability Waiver, and Photo Release forms are for you to print, sign and mail back to the National Office, or email to lori_matthes@nationalcops.org.

Also, please send in your pledge sheets as soon as possible.  Remember to return your paperwork by August 31, 2018.  If you cannot do that for some reason, please call the National Office immediately.  We have enclosed other forms that may help you know what to expect.

Share your DoJiggy fundraising link with your potential sponsors, or let them know they can donate online at www.concernsofpolicesurvivors.org.  All checks should be made payable to “C.O.P.S.” and in the memo line noted “your name-CWMW-18” and mailed to:  COPS Walk, P.O. Box 3199, Camdenton, MO, 65020.  It is a good idea to send in your donations at least monthly.

Top Individual and Top Team:  The cut-off for these donations will be August 31st, as we will need to order these plaques.  All checks will need to be received by August 31st, so there is time to process these in the office - please use the Pledge Sheet template located above.  Participants will have a one week extended deadline to qualify for spa treatments - these are prizes, not awards.  Please mail donations to the National Office – do not bring donations to the event if it can be avoided.  Online donations are accepted up to two weeks past the walk.  At that time, COPS Walk Midwest 18 will be closed.

Please remember that your goal must be met before you walk.  If it is not met you will be converted to a sleep walker.  Any concerns about this please call Lori Matthes at 573-346-4911.
